This is Martin Reid: from November 18 - 21 2007 Myself, Sheridan Coffey and Willie Sekula were in the Nagaritza Valley, staying at Cabanas Yankuam. Here are some sitings of potential interest having looked at the current Valley Checklist. CY = at Cabanas Yankuam and within c. 500 meters of the lodge to the north and south on the road. SH = Shaime/Oilbird trail. VA = in the valley along the road between Paquisha and Cabanas Yankuam. PR = "Paquisha Road" - my term for the dirt road that leaves on the eastern side of the town of Paquisha and continues roughly 13kms eastwards; first 8kms is mostly cut-over, but forest patches then appear (c. 1200m) and increase in size up to the end of the drivable road (c. 1450m).Note from the end of the road a foot trail ascends into good-looking forest forest for some distance.
